lyrics

I see her face. Swollen and grey. Our Princess, Decay.
Thorns press through as her smile fades away.
Thumbs pressed into temples to alleviate the tension
that I feel each time her face haunts my mind.
Light pierces my eyes, yet she sees through me!
Oh, she sees through me! There is nowhere to hide!
What lies beneath this soil, new growth?
Gnarled roots take wretched hold in our throats.
Bulbs lie dormant, but soon they must bloom.
This garden can’t contain us. We’ll explore the space of the room!
I can’t fight what grows within my mind.
Ever deprived of light, they remain.
Feasting on grief and pain. Roots grow through my brain.
Another night has passed, I’m feeling so much stronger.
My leaves grow thick and firm, my roots grow ever longer.
Yet, the Sun, how he does burn!
I crave her pale reflection, his sister, is for whom I yearn.
I often fantasize what colors I may bloom.
I dream of vibrant crimson, brightening this gloom.
Or perhaps I’ll blossom gold!
Then might I glow? And not feel so fucking cold!
Well I can’t believe you would just lie
and say that you’re blooming when I saw you die!
Well I can’t believe you would just wilt!
As your petals blow away, I feel no guilt!
I feel no guilt as you are swept away.
Swept away
